Discover How to Lose Weight Easily and Properly

You deserve to have the body you’ve always dreamed of without counting calories or spending hours and tons of money in the gym.
WHAT YOU’LL GET FROM ME
(in a healthy nutshell)
This website is run by me, Carissa Alinat. I’m a nurse practitioner, researcher, weight loss specialist, and published author, and I will show you how to finally take control of your body and health, and either lose weight, or maintain your ideal weight.
You’ll learn exactly what you need to eat to lose weight and keep it off, while toning your body, without sacrificing the foods you love or spending hours in a gym. In fact, you won’t need a gym or fancy equipment at all.
Thousands of other women have already said, “Yes!” to a journey paved toward increased confidence, vitality, and the body they have been longing for. The path is yours to take. I’ll be alongside you.
WHO AM I?
Before we go any further, I’ll tell you a little about myself. As I said I am a nurse practitioner. I’m also a mother, wife to a hot French chef, and I discovered my passion for women’s health, fitness, and nutrition years ago. This originally came from personal experience, as I was overweight, depressed, and my life was falling apart.
I haven’t always felt good in my body. Years ago, I found myself in a constant flip-flop. I’d lose weight and then I’d regain it. Repeat. Repeat again. Then I found a surprising method that works and kept the weight off for good. Years later, I’m still confident in a bikini, I don’t hide my belly anymore at the beach, and I get to enjoy all the foods I love. I also spend hardly any time at all working out.

WHERE TO BEGIN
Let’s start with answers to some of the most common questions I’m asked:
What Exactly Do I Need To Do To Lose Weight.
Huge topic and I can’t probably cover it all right here. But I can give you a LOT of information to help you lose the weigh you want to lose. In fact, it’s fairly easy.
First, I actually wrote a pretty nifty Cheat Sheet just for you. Give us your email address and we’ll send it to you right away.
The second thing you probably need to do is to have the right mindset. I talk about “Mindful Eating” a lot on these pages. That’s because actually realizing what, when, and why you’re eating the foods you eat has a huge impact on your weight loss progress. Do you really need a bag of Cheetos while watching TV? ? Or could we do without? Extreme, but you get my point!..
Next, you need to focus on decreasing or getting rid of what we call “empty calories” foods. These are foods that are highly caloric, but do not provide good nutrition. Think pizza, French fries, sodas, and so on. Now that doesn’t mean you can’t have pizza. In fact, we have a pretty mean pizza recipe that is nutritious, fat-burning, paleo and gluten-free too. The point is that replacing “empty calories” foods with nutritious, wholesome, and healthful foods really goes a long way. We’ll show you how.
#3 is about fiber. Fiber is the key. Increase fiber in your diet and that simple trick alone can shed a few inches off your waist very easily, and with no efforts.
What Foods Should I Eat to Lose Weight?
Excellent question. Really. You see, losing weight easily is about 2 things, pretty much in equal percentages depending on your very own metabolism:
Exercising and eating the right foods.
Don’t worry. “Exercising” doesn’t mean competing in the Olympics. Or even going to the gym 5 times a week. In fact, I rarely every go to the gym. Rather, exercising is about being smart and mindful about avoiding a sedentary lifestyle (couch potato style), and moving your body, so that your weight loss is efficient and successful.
The second part of course is to eat properly. What does it mean?
First good news. We don’t count calories here. Who has time for that? We don’t worry about nutrition facts or macros. We don’t worry about “eating right” either. That kind of becomes a second nature, you see. Weight loss is not about HOW MUCH you eat (in fact you can overeat and still lose weight!). It’s about WHAT you eat. Let me reassure you again, we’re not talking about turning into a vegan or starving ourselves. We’re into
good GREAT food, and I believe you should be too.
We’re smart about things. For instance, you’ve probably heard that potatoes or rice or pasta are big no-nos if you’re trying to lose weight. That’s just not true. You see, there is a way to select “forbidden foods” (all pasta, rice, or potatoes are just not created equal), and a way to cook them that make them all acceptable.
We LOVE the paleo lifestyle. In fact, we have created The French Paleo Burn, which is a super powerful weight loss program based on 2 phases (Paleo Burn, then Maintenance Phase). I learned it with my husband’s family in the South of France (French women really are skinny, even though they overeat all kinds of foods; they have a secret).

Do I Have To Sacrifice Good Food And Eat Diet Food?
Just because you want to eat better and lose some weight, doesn’t mean you want to eat carrot sticks and celery all day.
Or worse, eat meals that taste like cardboard.
We often feel tired. We worked all day… took care of the kids…maybe even tried to get in a work out. The last thing we want to think about is crafting an ultra-healthy meal from scratch. Who can blame you!
But we care about our family, about our health, about the health of our family. Of course we want them to eat healthy.
Why does it have to be so difficult?
We have already done most of the work for you! We packed in plenty of recipes, and tweaked them to:
Cut down on fat
Pack in super foods
Add ingredients loaded with fiber, vitamins and minerals
It’s a win-win lifestyle that we’re always promoting. For more, check out What To Eat To Lose Weight FAST.
What Workouts Should I Do To Lose Weight?
You don’t have to. I mean, you don’t have to exercise strenuously to lose weight. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Heck, you don’t even have to have a gym membership. Put your money somewhere else.
I often talk about the French culture (My husband is a French chef). I visit France every year in the summer to visit my family-in-law. Trust me when I say: the French don’t have gym memberships. And those skinny French women know how to eat, drink, be merry, and lose a ton of weight in the meantime (Using The French Paleo Burn).
I teach what I call Easy-Soft Workouts. Pretty self-explanatory. But in other words, you just need to get off the couch, have a positive mindset, and live an active lifestyle. That means doing things. Like a walk around the block with your kids. Like a long walk on the beach with your significant other. Walk up the stairs instead of taking the elevator. Park your car away from the grocery store entrance. That kind of things.
Of course my Easy-Soft Workouts also cover more adventurous exercises for the ideal, sexiest body. But only once you’ve eased into it and feel comfortable, empowered, and frankly ecstatic about the first steps that led to a few inches off your waist. You have no idea what the psychological impact of shedding a few pounds have on women. It’s empowering and exhilarating. That’s where I want you to be before moving towards more advanced workouts.
So let me give you a list and a few photos/videos of what you need to do to lose weight.
Do I Have To Restrict Myself To Lose Weight?
No. Not at all. In fact, it is proven that restrictive diets do not work. Nobody can sustain silly things like the “grapefruit diet” or even a strict Paleo diet for a long time. And I’m not even talking about the negative health effects.
No, at the contrary. Losing weight and keeping it off is about enjoying great food. At least that’s the way the French do it. And trust me, with a (skinny) French chef as a husband, I saw first hand how they do it. Trust me, skinny French women do NOT restrict themselves!
How Do I Get Rid of Stubborn Belly Fat?
Excellent question. Trust me, I tried forever to lose my stubborn belly fat and only got to do it once I understood the science behind it. Otherwise, if you don’t know what you’re doing, you can try but the belly fat (especially just below your belly button), just stays there.
But I have great news for you: Losing belly fat is not that complicated.
- You don’t have to be on a restrictive diet.
- You don’t have to be starving to lose your belly fat.
- You don’t have to do special ab workouts.
- You don’t have to spend hours at the gym (I don’t!)
- You don’t have to take supplements (although some can help).
As you’ll see, all you have to do is make slight changes to your diet and exercise routine, and your belly fat will disappear.
So, now let’s dive in, starting with why the hell belly fat can be so hard to lose… If you want to know why (you should!), and what to do to finally get a tight, toned stomach, then you want to read this article on How To Lose Stubborn Belly Fat.
What Kind of Diet Do You Promote?
You mean, like no-carb diet, low-fat diet, or ketogenic diet?.. My answer might surprise you: I don’t like diets. And neither should you. Dieting really sucks and frankly, it has so many negative effects on your metabolism and your health, especially if you’ve been yo-yo dieting most of your life.
The word “diet” really has become a four-letter word. For those plagued with weight issues, it has also become a never-ending cycle of trying one after the other. And they always seem to set you up for failure. Does this sound familiar – as soon as you go off of the diet and start eating normal again you gain back all the weight?
That’s because these fad diets aren’t meant to be a lifestyle change. They are loaded with restrictions, forbidden foods, no-no ingredients and ultimately, most of them rely on maintaining a low calorie diet.
But when you focus on just weight loss by restricting calories, you also lose muscle and water, which slows down your metabolism. Not good. Plus, fad diets take the pleasure out of eating altogether.
What’s the fun in that? Food should be linked to health and happy living. It should inspire, delight and fulfill us. It should be about enjoyment, not compromise.
No. Rather, we promote GREAT FOOD. And the enjoyment of it. We do love the Paleo lifestyle and you’ll find a lot of Paleo recipes. But that’s mainly because the Paleo lifestyle focuses on eating vegetables (that’s fiber!) and protein. So obviously you will, as I did, lose a ton of weight by following a (strict or not) Paleo “diet”. We make it very fun, don’t worry!
Do Carbs Make Me Fat?
Does it look like we’re a sad, restricted, boring bunch of people? No! We’re foodies! Jus like you, we love eating great food. We embrace food (all foods) and we really try to stay away from restrictive fad diets.
Speaking of fad diets, some of them, like Atkins and South Beach, have been giving carbohydrates a bad rap for quite awhile now.
But are they really all that bad?
NOT ALL CARBS ARE CREATED EQUAL
Complex carbs – such as un-refined whole wheat products, brown rice, oats, barley, beans and legumes – are loaded with fiber, which can make you feel fuller longer and help control appetite.
Plus carbs are necessary because they break down into glucose, providing the main fuel for our brains and nervous system. It’s also the preferred source of fuel for most organs and muscles during exercise.
So while we LOVE the Paleo lifestyle, some of us also indulge on pasta, rice, and potatoes, and still lose weight or maintain an ideal weight. You can read more about this within the various articles I wrote, and of course if you join The French Paleo Burn program.
What's The Glycemic Index?
Carbs with a low Glycemic Index (GI) value (0-55) are more slowly digested, absorbed and metabolized. This causes a lower and slower rise in blood glucose levels and therefore insulin levels.
And this can help to facilitate the management of diabetes, weight loss and weight management.
The GI is important because our bodies perform best when our blood sugar is kept relatively constant. If it drops too low, we become lethargic and/or experience increased hunger.
If it goes too high, the brain signals the pancreas to secrete more insulin – which brings blood sugar back down but primarily by converting the excess sugar to stored fat. Exactly what we are trying NOT to do!
Every time you go shopping, pick a recipe to make, or create something new in the kitchen. Some of these choices are healthy. Some are not. We’ve trained ourselves to love the awful things in processed foods. And who can blame us when they taste so good, are usually cheaper, and in such abundance.
Artificial sweeteners, ‘white’ processed foods, corn syrup, palm oil…. they’re actually toxic to our bodies.
Yet, for some reason, when the recipe we find on the dime-a-dozen food blog, calls for two cups of sugar and a scoop of shortening…we never hesitate.
I can show you how to take any awful ingredient in a recipe and replace it with something natural, something that helps you burn the fat, not store more of it.
Should I Buy Supplements To Lose Weight?
You don’t. That’s the truth and the short answer. Plain and simple.
Now, some supplements might help if you want to lose weight. Especially if you need to do it fast. Or more efficiently.
You see, the ENORMOUS problem with the supplement industry is that it is an out-of-control, deceptive, scam-artist jungle! First that’s because no to little regulations are in place to even guarantee what’s in that little magic pill you take. So most supplement companies produce doubtful products that you should take with a skeptical eye. The vast majority of supplements people take do absolutely nothing at all. Yet, there are expensive.
Although some supplements can “supplement” your health and fitness goals, they are not absolutely necessary.
That said, you can accelerate fat loss and defined muscles with some supplements. There are a handful of supplements that are scientifically proven to work…if you buy and use them intelligently.
That supplement company, BioTrust, has had very successful results in the health and fitness industry. They are truly dedicated to helping you achieve your goals by way of their premium supplements made with natural ingredients.
That’s because they is “Trust” in Biotrust. What sets them apart is the fact that they insist on EXTERNAL, and INDEPENDENT monitoring of their product. Higher standards. In other words, they bring 100% honesty to your supplements. So obviously I endorse and recommend them.
Remember, you’ve always been beautiful. Now you’re just deciding to be healthier, fitter, and stronger.
Love and Health,
